No referrals are necessary

BUT everyone needs an appointment. The appointments are scheduled for Wednesdays. Following the appointment interview, the client will be provided with approx. 3 days worth of groceries.


How to get help

Call 519-688-3434 ext 201 on Monday or Tuesdays 8am to 11 am to schedule an appointment. Appointments cannot be booked via email or social media platforms. We are closed evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

New Clients Need to Bring:

1. ID for every household member

2. Proof of address


NOTE: Paper or electronic copies are acceptable verification for all listed above. The Helping Hand Food Bank does not make photocopies of client information.

What is in a Food Service?

Food is provided to accommodate varying family sizes. Depending on availability, the food bank will provide fresh milk, eggs, fruits and vegetables. Also available: canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, canned pasta, peanut butter, tuna, cereal, crackers, beans, rice, stew and diced tomatoes. Other produce, bread and desserts may be available for clients depending on donations collected.  Baby supplies such as diapers, pull ups, baby wipes, food, Pablum and formula may be available. Often pet food is available. Families in need of pet food are requested to inquire at the time of their scheduled appointment date.
